The 4th International Coconut Festival in Ghana was held from October 21-23, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre. The event, organized by the African Coconut Group in partnership with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and other stakeholders, focused on the theme “Empowering Lives Through Coconut — Innovation, Employment, and Sustainable Livelihoods
The Ghana Horticulture Expo 2024, focused on showcasing the country’s horticultural diversity and promoting quality produce and exports, took place from July 9th to 11th at the Accra International Conference Center. Organized by the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), the event aimed to boost the agricultural sector through sustainable practices and collaboration
In July 2021, Ghana launched the Ghana Cocoa Forest REDD+ Programme (GCFRP), a commodity-based, landscape-level initiative aimed at reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation within the High Forest Zone.
Solidaridad West Africa launched its Home Gardening Initiative in Accra in December 2023 to promote urban food security and nutrition. The two-day event, held at Efua Sutherland Children’s Park, aimed to encourage urban households to grow their own vegetables. It featured exhibitions, workshops, and networking opportunities for participants.
The World Shea Expo 2024 was held in Tamale Ghana, with the aim of promoting shea production and creating both local and international markets. The maiden edition was launched on May 29, 2024, and the main expo took place from July 23 to 25 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
